He is being charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Comission (EFCC) for over 6.9billion naira fraud and money laundering accusations. Fayose was firstly summoned to court on October 22, 2018, in the presence of Justice Mojisola Olatotegun together with a company on 11 counts which was based on fraud and money laundering crimes.
